Our Brand History
Our story dates back to 1987, when Robert Spanjaard, Founder and CEO of Spanjaard (Pty) Ltd, pioneered the introduction of food aerosol products as part of the company’s specialised product offering.
This marked the birth of Cook ‘n Bake®, a non-stick cooking spray developed to meet the everyday needs of both home cooks and professional kitchens. From these pioneering food aerosol products, we have grown to become South Africa’s leading manufacturer in this category, also offering trusted private label solutions.
In 2025, we embarked on an exciting new chapter, expanding into a wider range of food categories, including gourmet preserved fruits and vegetables, and convenient ready-mix desserts. This expansion continues our tradition of innovation and excellence, bringing even more solutions to your culinary world.
